How to manage cravings during weight loss?

cravings
diet
evening snacks

I've been on the Normal Weight-Loss plan for 3 weeks now, and I'm finding it really hard to manage my cravings, especially in the evening.

I'm following the diet chart properly during the day, but around 8-9 PM, I get intense cravings for sweets or fried snacks. I've tried drinking water and having the recommended evening snacks, but it's still challenging.

Has anyone else experienced this? What strategies have worked for you to manage these cravings?

Thanks in advance for your advice!

I had the same issue when I started! What helped me was having a cup of herbal tea (I like cinnamon or mint) with a small piece of dark chocolate (70% or more). It satisfies the sweet craving but stays within the plan guidelines.

Hi Anita, this is a common challenge! Evening cravings often happen due to habit rather than actual hunger. Try brushing your teeth after dinner - it signals to your brain that eating time is over. Also, having a protein-rich evening snack can help keep you fuller longer. The roasted makhana recipe from our recipe library is a great option!

I found that keeping myself busy with a hobby or activity helps a lot. When I feel cravings coming on, I start knitting or reading a book - something that keeps my hands busy. Before I know it, the craving has passed!
